Job Title: Engineering Technician

Location: Midland, TX

• Must reside in commutable distance of Midland, Tx. (This is an Onsite role, Remote & Hybrid work is not available.)

Prior experience in Industrial Manufacturing Operations (Vessels, Tanks, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Valves, Mechanical Equipment, etc. background is preferred)

Machining (CNC & Manual), Fabrication (Welding, Metal Cutting, Metal Forming) experience is preferred.

A company with over 30 years in Gas Processing & Treating Plant Sales, Manufacturing, Construction and Operation is hiring a Highly Experienced Engineering Technician.

The Engineering Tech is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to engineers for the design and engineering of natural gas treatment facilities in conventional and renewable gas industries.

General requirements:

• Proficient in reading and developing P&IDs
• 1+ year of relevant Engineering Tech experience in the natural gas industry
• Safety Requirements Compliance with federal/state/local law, industry and client standards, and company safety policies.

Essential Job Functions

Engineering BOMs

• Create and maintain engineering BOMs
• RFQ engineering BOMs
• Evaluate quotes and interface with engineers and buyers

P&IDs

• Ensure all line numbers, CSAs, tagging, and scope/spec breaks are correct and consistent
• Incorporate design information into equipment title blocks
• Participate in walkdowns and confirm equipment aligns with P&IDs prior to shipment

Engineering Documents

• Create PSV and CV datasheets, populate all non-calculation data, Generate PDFs
• Create C&E, populate the document excluding the actions and setpoints
• Create utility spreadsheets, line list, paint list, shipping list, spare parts list, etc.
• Make certain Document Control receives correct design documents, IOMs, and vendor data books; Review Job Book before shipment

• Exhibits professionalism by establishing effective relationships with other employees
• Manages individual time by building due dates into assignments and then prioritizes work to accomplish more in less time
• Good organization and prioritization skills to execute work accurately, handle multiple priorities, and analyze reports and trend activities
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Position is largely sedentary
• Repetitious hand and finger dexterity to communicate via email and cellphone
• Extensive visual and auditory observation during work
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
