Job Title: Assembly Assistant

Location: Midland, Tx

• Must reside in commutable distance of Midland, Tx. (This is an Onsite role, Remote & Hybrid work is not available.)

Essential Job Functions

• Work directly for the assembly department to make sure it receives the material needed in a timely manner.
• Request material to be staged for each skid before assembly is started.
• After the material is staged by the warehouse, make a count of all flanged valves, major equipment and instrumentation, and generate a list of missing material for each skid.
• Investigate status and ETAs of missing major equipment and instrumentation.
• Get the material from a designated area and bring it to the assembly crews.
• Maintain a list of missing instrumentation for skids that have left the assembly area and have not shipped and check weekly for any newly received instrumentation.
• Make sure all control valves staged are the correct type and fail position and notify assembly supervision if they need to be replaced or turned to the correct fail-position.
• Inspect all Pressure relief valves for the correct orifice, set pressure and size before assembly of the skid is started.
• Order any parts needed by the assembly department and will keep track of the status and eta of the orders.
• Perform other task and duties requested by supervisors

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)

• Able to identify parts and equipment on P&IDs.
• Able to operate a forklift.
• Be familiar with the types of valves, equipment, and instruments used in the oil and gas industry.
• Be available and willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Able to lift material up to 50 lbs.
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Bending, stooping, standing for long periods of time and climbing
• High level of safety awareness

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or GED (preferred, but not required)
• A minimum of 1 years related experience is required for this position.
