Note: Client is not interested in consultants delivering strategy or roadmaps. Client needs hands-on project leaders who can oversee the implementation and deliver automation project end-to-end.

This role is responsible for development and application of technology and tools designed to deliver the future state of process automation (Advanced Manufacturing 4.0 and digitization) in Operations.  Responsible for defining and delivering Growth & Improve projects in alignment with business objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work on automation technology projects end to end: from project planning to implementation.
  • Lead Proof-of-Concept (POC) and Prototyping projects to solve business or customer identified problems and opportunities.
  • Work alongside and lead internal and external partner teams to deliver solutions.
  • Develop partnerships – drive collaboration and integration between multiple partners to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Deliver value – lead high quality delivery of a variety of technical engagements enabling breakthrough business outcomes for customers.
  • Conduct process workshops, identify opportunities for lean, process digitalization & automation, manage concept solution and product development projects.
  • Partner with Process Control Technology Leaders (PCTLs) and IT Architects to select compatible technologies.
  • Participate in external industry and vendor workshops to stay abreast of current benchmark.
  • Provide input for prioritization for Automation Grow and Improve projects.
  • Participate in project reviews.

 

Qualifications: 

  • BS in an Engineering discipline, computer science, chemical, electrical, mechanical or other relevant fields is required
  • 5-7 years of automation experience required (robotics, data analytics, control systems, MES – Manufacturing execution systems)
  • Advanced manufacturing project experience (technology development, design and/or implementation)
  • Knowledge of Automation Technologies
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
