Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Midland, Tx

• Must reside in commutable distance of Midland, Tx. (This is an Onsite role, Remote & Hybrid work is not available.)

This Electrical Engineer is involved in the design, development, installation and maintenance of electrical systems and / or components e.g. power generation and distribution systems, motors, control systems and electrical equipment. The primary focus is on safety, reliability, quality and sustainability of electrical systems.

Essential Job Functions

• Provides technical and engineering support
• Ability to perform power study modeling in both green and brown field construction
• Monitors the performance of the electrical systems
• Ensures that electrical systems meet statutory and regulatory requirements
• Undertakes in-depth analyses/studies of problems and identifies longer-term solutions and/or options
• Supports production installations with maintenance planning, delivery and troubleshooting activities
• Reviews and comments on supplier information and assists with specification and ordering of materials and equipment, and inspection and testing activities
• Produces budgets and plans for specific studies or modifications and manages the cost control process
• Develops procedures relating to mechanical operations, design and maintenance
• Ensures safe, reliable and environmentally responsible operations
• Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, and ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)

• Experience with calculation and analyses for sizing of prime and backup electrical power generation
• Extensive experience and knowledge of high voltage electrical distribution equipment
• Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional engineering experience in a related field such as heavy/industrial equipment, mining, construction, etc.
• Oil and gas/oilfield service experience a plus but not required
• Demonstrated history of working safely and in accordance with company and customer HSE requirements
• Experience in design and operation of electrical sub-stations
• Understand electrical requirements and available capacity between customer and power supplier.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university required
• EIT or PE certification preferred (not required)
• A minimum of 5 years related experience is required for this position.

10% – 15% Travel will be required for mandatory meetings, training and visits to field locations.
