Job Title: Engineering Document Controller

Location: Midland, Tx

  • Must reside in commutable distance of Midland, Tx. (This is an Onsite role, Remote & Hybrid work is not available.)

Prior experience in Industrial Manufacturing Operations (Vessel, Tanks, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Valves, Mechanical Equipment, etc. background is preferred)

Machining (CNC & Manual), Fabrication (Welding, Metal Cutting, Metal Forming) experience is preferred.

A company with over 30 years in Gas Processing & Treating Plant Sales, Manufacturing, Construction and Operations is hiring a Highly Experienced Document Control Specialist.

Objective Summary:

We are seeking a Document Controller to maintain records, oversee document control, and expedite internal and external document transmittals. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, capable of working well both independently and in teams. The Document Controller should be detail-oriented and comfortable communicating all issues clearly to the supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and follow standardized company documentation policies and procedures
  • Ensure all technical documents, such as reports, drawings, and blueprints, are up-to-date and collected in the system
  • Expedite and manage technical documentation transmittals to and from clients and vendors
  • Oversee internal approval statuses on engineered equipment drawings to insure schedules are met
  • Notify personnel of updated document versions and how to access them
  • Conduct company audits to ensure procedures are being followed
  • Communicate and collaborate with engineering, drafting, project management, and construction management departments

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in business (preferred)
  • Very detail oriented
  • Great time management skills
  • Incredible organizational skills
  • Experienced in Excel (and Microsoft 365 App Environment)
  • Can work independently without much guidance
  • Ability to communicate with team
