Job Title: Facilities Engineer
Location: Midland, Tx (This is NOT a Remote job, MUST work in Office & Field.)
- Must reside in commutable distance of Midland, Tx. (This is an Onsite role, Remote & Hybrid work is not available.)
- Some travel is required
JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities Engineer will participate in engineering assignments for facilities projects related to production facilities, salt water disposal facilities, and gathering networks and other product/processing related infrastructure and facilities. They will also perform feasibility studies and calculations pertaining to budgets, costs, required materials and plan designs using basic engineering principles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for designing and planning onshore production facilities, salt water disposals, and gathering system
- Provides planning and budgeting for facility modifications and construction projects
- Participates in bidding and selection processes for vendors to perform various construction activities
- Supports operations and troubleshoots to identify problems and provide solutions
- Other tasks as assigned
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to develop cost estimates, develop P&IDs, review design packages, and communicate effectively with construction and operations personnel is required
- Knowledge of corrosion, fluid mechanics, and economic analysis for facilities desirable
- Understanding of RRC and BLM regulations a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of production optimization concepts and applications
- Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently
- Practical knowledge of unconventional/conventional resource plays
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task with attention to accuracy
- Must be team player that possess the ability to adapt to a changing and fast paced work environment
Education Requirements
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree: Four year degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, petroleum engineering or a related field
Years of Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related role
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND
Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
Travel Requirements
- 10% – 15% Travel will be required for mandatory meetings, training and visits to field locations.
