Job Title: Instrument Fitter

Location: Midland, Tx

• Must reside in commutable distance of Midland, Tx. (This is an Onsite role, Remote & Hybrid work is not available.)

Essential Job Functions

• Installing instruments such as DPIs, PIs, TEs, PITs, DPITs.
• Run 1/4”, 3/8”, and 1/2” stainless tubing and support it properly to supply air to control valves.
• Use P&ID to determine process flow and run tubing to and from instruments.
• Assist the crew leader by installing valves and running threaded pipe
• Assist crew leader in hydro testing units.
• Perform other task and duties requested by supervisors

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)

• Ability to read and understand P&IDs.
• Ability to run stainless steel tubing in a professional manner.
• Ability to run tubing alone.
• Ability to identify the different types of instruments and valves commonly used in the gas industry.
• Ability to disassemble control valves and turn them from Fail Open to Fail Close and vice versa.
• Knowledge of screw pipe is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand isos is a plus.
• Be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to spend hours on their feet.
• Willing to work at heights of up to 100 feet on a manlift basket.
• Willing to work following all the company’s safety rules.
• Be willing to work overtime and weekends when required.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Bending, stooping, standing for long periods of time and climbing
• High level of safety awareness

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or GED (preferred, but not required)
• A minimum of 1 years related experience is required for this position.
