Position: Plant Manager
Location: Ipswich, MA, US, 01938 (Relocation Assistance Available)
Under the general direction of the Director of North America Manufacturing, the purpose of the Plant Manager is to provide leadership, drive organizational success, and advance the business’ strategic objectives in the Ipswich, MA Plant.
The Plant Manager is responsible for the strategic planning and management of manufacturing operations in a variety of manufacturing disciplines to achieve specific production output, productivity and quality goals that relate directly to the achievement of the company. The plant manager is also responsible for the adherence to financial budgets and development of customer service plans. It’s the responsibility of the plant manager to oversee all employees, and to ensure the plant consistently runs efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities
Including but not limited to:
- Oversee daily operations and financial performance
- Successfully oversee the planning and manage of company assets and personnel in the execution of manufacturing tasks to fulfill customer orders for both standard and customized pump products
- Participate in the long-range planning of production capabilities and capacities in support of the company’s strategic and business plans.
- Report to the Divisional Managing Director, providing market insight, strategic advice, and performance results
- Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate improvement, efficiency, and growth
- Establish and maintain positive and trust-based relations with business partners, shareholders, regulatory bodies, and subordinates
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of Leadership Team providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
- Ensure company policies/standards and regulatory requirements are communicated, implemented, and followed
- Identify challenges and implement corrective action
- Enhance the company’s reputation by participating in industry events
- Ensure adherence to Quality, Safety, and Environmental compliance processes in accordance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Be responsible to ensure all employees are trained and proficient in the requirements of these programs and policies.
Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications
- BS/BA in business administration or relevant field or equivalent experience
- 5 or more years’ experience as Plant or Operations Manager
- Prior experience in Manufacturing, Engineering to Order, and/or Nuclear Power industries
- Pumps background is preferred
- Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, corporate finance, and performance management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Physical Demands & Work Environment
Due to the nature of the job, a plant manager must be physically able to sit, stand and walk the plant, bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts and driving an automobile, etc., for long periods of time. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment and avoidance of trips and falls.
