Job Title: Production Department Manager

Location: Pella, IA (Relocation Assistance Available)

• Must reside in commutable distance of Pella, IA. (This is an onsite role, Remote & Hybrid work is not available.)
• Ideally open to future relocation to other Pella Site to climb into Sr. OPS roles
• Some travel may be required

15 total openings available, in various locations:

Pella, IA:

• 1 Opening – 1st Shift (6am – 3:30pm) Monday – Friday
• 4 Openings – 2nd Shift (3:40pm – 2:10am) Monday – Thursday
• 2 Openings – 3rd Shift (11pm – 7am) Sunday – Thursday (A logistics background would be good on 3rd shift)

Shenandoah, IA:

• 1 Opening – 1st Shift (6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) M-F and Saturdays as needed
• 3 Openings – 2nd Shift (4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.) Monday – Thursday. (Friday & Saturdays as needed)

Sioux Center, IA:

• 1 Opening – Bilingual (Spanish) Department Manager 3rd Shift (9 p.m. to 7:10 a.m.) Monday – Thursday. Fridays as needed

Ocala, FL:

• 1 Opening – 1st Shift (6am – 2:30pm) M-F
• 2 Openings – 3rd Shift (6:30pm – 5am) Monday – Thursday, Fridays as needed

Essential Functions

• Directly manage 30 – 40 hourly employees
• Responsible for your department’s safety, quality, and productivity
• Maintain budget for labor efficiencies in department
• Champion continuous improvement in the department (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing)
• Reward and follow corrective action guidelines as needed with employees
• Interview, hire, train, and develop employee

• Strong organizational skills
• Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement

Education

• Associate’s degree or two year of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Professional Experience

• 2 years of progressively increasing responsibilities in Production and Manufacturing Management.
• Superior management capability to lead, motivate and develop production and manufacturing employees.
