Company is seeking a Commercial Director to oversee their inside and outside sales teams. This position will be full time and based in their headquarters in St Louis, MO.

Company is a leading supplier of OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) plus other types of pipe throught the U.S. They represent only the finest API- licensed domestic and international pipe mills and offer a wide range of services to meet customer needs. The mission is to provide the best customer service, products and availability in the industry.

Job Description:

Company is seeking a Regional Account Manager, Oklahoma and Rocky Mountains to join its outside sales team based in Oklahoma. In this role you will work with some of the leading firms in the oil and gas industry to offer them solutions to their pipe needs. This will involve working with existing clients as well as developing new clients for all product lines. You will also work with internal staff to arrange price quotes for customers, coordinate documentation of the sale, ensure successful delivery of the goods, and follow-up with customers after the fact. Company is seeking energetic, hardworking candidates looking to join a growing team building on a long track record of success. Candidates will receive on the job and self-directed training after starting.

Job Description:

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Drive sales objectives for product lines and individual salespeople
  • Identify new sales opportunities and build client relationships
  • Build a high performing team by providing strong mentorship, coaching and guidance – particularly with new hires
  • Lead internal training activities to improve salesperson skills and effectiveness
  • Join salespeople on client calls as needed
  • Travel to visit clients on behalf of salespeople
  • Ensuring the proper use of CRM databases and tools to track performance
  • Preparing reports on sales team performance on a routine and as-needed basis
  • Attend conferences and industry events as needed
  • Cover your own list of clients – at company, all people on the sales team sell
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing and promotional materials
  • Monitoring market trends, customer activities, and competitor actions in the market

Job Requirements:

  • College degree in Engineering, Business, or a relevant / related field
  • 5+ years of prior experience and a strong track record of success in a senior sales leadership role
  • Experience in successfully building, scaling, and leading high performing sales teams
  • Detailed knowledge of company’s products, their uses, and technical specifications; or the capability to build this knowledge quickly after being hired
  • Customer service mindset and possess the ability to prospect and manage senior level relationships
  • Exceptional communications skills
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to be hands-on
  • Ability to travel every one to two months
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Sage CRM is a plus
