Senior Crewing Specialist (Crewing / Human Resources / Recruiting / Talent Acquisition)
- Must be local to Houston, Tx Area. (Relocation assistance not currently provided)
- (Office Located on Katy Freeway, between Loop 610 and Beltway 8)
- Must be US citizens/green card holder. (Sponsorship not currently provided)
Seeking a Senior Crewing Specialist for a global, maritime client located in Houston, TX. The Sr. Crewing Specialist is responsible for all tasks in connection with crewing field hourly personnel.
The qualified candidate for this position must have:
- Maritime Industry experience
- Combined background of crewing/human resources/recruiting/talent acquisition experience
Serving as the primary Company liaison between project/vessel management teams, the division operations managers, and HR department for all matters involving vessel crewing supply and administration, duties to include:
- Vetting union / non-union job applications; refer appropriate candidates to the Dredge managers
- Follow up with selected candidates
- Prepare & tender employment offers
- Setup pre-employment screening
- Issue sea service and drug screening letters for hourly vessel employees as needed
- Coordinate with HR on new employment administration requirements
- Establish and maintain individual personnel record in NS Enterprise for authorized and Qualified documents
- Partner and collaborate with operations on project start-ups, durations, delays and shut-downs to include equipment and manning requirements for each location
- Transfer personnel between vessel and project locations, coordinating when necessary with the General Superintendent / Dredge managers / Site Management teams
- Collect and maintain end of project crew member evaluations.
- Be knowledgeable of and able to apply appropriate provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Understand and enforce company pay and benefit policies.
- Manage hourly position requisitions in the ATS career center
- Liaise with union halls and the Talent Acquisition Specialist to fill open positions
- Develop and manage an employee pipeline database of laid off employees and keep them engaged
- Responsible for metrics associated with the crewing process
- Lead, manage, develop and oversee the crewing team
- Additional duties as assigned
- This is an office job; no remote work
Requirements:
- Highly organized and disciplined
- Able to establish priorities
- Flexible/calm under pressure
- Able to make good decisions in a fast-paced work environment
- Bachelors Degree
- 5+ years of work experience in an HR Related field
- 5+ years experience Recruitment/Talent Acquisition experience
- 3+ years in management or leadership role
- Solid skills (3+ years) leading Managerial Experience Crewing/Recruitment/Talent Acquisition
- IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE MARITIME CREWING MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
- Ability to multitask and support multiple projects
- Working with employees / employer subject to a collective bargaining agreements
- HRIS Experience (ADP Workforce Now) preference
- Must have reliable transportation and work within an office environment (no remote)
- Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated
Pay Range: $75-90K per year
