Job Title: Assembly Structural Welder

          Must be able to weld both Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel in “All” positions._

Location: Midland, Tx

• Must reside in commutable distance of Midland, Tx. (This is an Onsite role, Remote & Hybrid work is not available.)

Carbon Steel Welding:

• Must be able to Pass a 6G Certification Test
• 6010 and 7018 Welding Rod

Stainless Steel Welding:

• Must be able to Pass a 4F Certifications Test
• 308L and 309L Welding Rod

Essential Job Functions

• Work under the direction of the lead fitter on daily assigned work with minimum supervision
• Weld in accordance with welding procedures and work instructions
• Set and use cutting torch, operate cutting saw and different tools to cut materials to prescribed dimensions
• Help and assist team members in other duties as directed by supervisors
• Keep and maintain a clean work area and all assigned equipment
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor as needed
• Must perform other task and duties requested by supervisors

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)

• Ability to weld parts and fittings in different positions; e.g. overhead, uphill and flat
• Skilled at welding with 6010 and 7018 welding rods
• Ability to weld stainless steel using 309L and 308L welding rods
• Ability to operate forklifts and manlifts to perform assigned tasks
• Ability to pass various welding tests such as 3-F and 4-F on stainless steel and 3-G, 4-F or just 6-G on carbon steel.
• Be available and willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Able to lift material up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Bending, stooping, standing for long periods of time and climbing
• High level of safety awareness

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or GED (preferred, but not required)
• A minimum of 1 years related experience is required for this position.
